When you enter the apartment, the kitchen is straight ahead to the right, equipped with the latest appliances. There’s a subzero refrigerator to keep food fresh, the Gaggenau ovens to make Michele feel like a professional chef, the Miele dishwashers for high-quality cleaning, and even the warming drawer she requested.  

Michele loves how everything came together, with the colorful backsplash, beautiful countertop, and sleek cabinets for ample storage.  And when she sits on a bar stool at the island, she can look through the large windows and take in the magnificent view of Jerusalem.

Ensure luxury in the living and dining areas

Michele wanders into the dining room with the gorgeous oval table that perfectly matches the accents of the bookcase.  In addition to closed storage and shelves slightly hidden behind textured glass, the open shelves will allow her to proudly display her Shabbat candlesticks, the crystal vase, and the Hanukkah menorah that belonged to her great-grandmother.

Michele and Barry can’t wait to invite the family over to sit around the table for Shabbat dinners.

In the living room, the rich, blue-velvet pillows perfectly accent the light beige sofas. Barry and Michele can’t wait to curl up in the blue armchairs to read. And there’s plenty of room for the family to get together, relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Discover the unexpected design for bedroom privacy

It’s hard to believe that a barn door separates the public spaces from private bedroom areas. Creating a cohesive theme is part of designing a luxury home and the barn door provided the influence for the Susson’s apartment. Barry had helped select the door on a trip to Israel, where we also chose tiles for the bathrooms and floors, as well as the furniture, lights, and kitchen materials.

Inspiration comes from many places, and the artistic paintings the Sussons shared with me showed their love of the country, wood, and easy living.  The barn door slides to conveniently divide the spaces. It perfectly matches their taste, is a conversation piece, and creates a uniqueness for their home.

Having unusual and distinctive pieces in your house gives your home a personal touch and creates individuality. 

Custom-design bedroom is sleek and maximizes the layout 

With a custom-designed built-in bedroom, everything has a clean, uniform look and is aesthetically pleasing. Moving from the US or Canada to Israel might mean downsizing, so by designing the furniture, you can eliminate wasted space and create optimal storage.  

The Susson’s master bedroom has an accent wall behind the bed as a focal point to add interest and give depth and texture to the room. All Barry could say was, “Wow, this is what you meant.”
